10. Vacheron Tour de’lile:

This luxury watch also entitled as the most complicated watch in 2005 was launched to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Vacheron Constantin. Vacheron Constantin is a swiss manufacturer of luxury watches which was established in 1755. Tour de’lile won this company the “Golden Hand” award  The case of this watch is made of 18 carats gold and coated with sapphire crystal. Vacheron Constantin manufactured 7 pieces of this watch one of which was auctioned at 1.87 million swiss francs, making it one of the most expensive watch in the world.

Known for its unique pieces and limited editions, Louis Moinet made this watch out of the fragment of a Martian meteorite “Jiddat al Harasis”. The fragment is more than 180 million years old which makes the it as expensive as $1000 per gram. It has a tourbillon dial made of 50 components.Tourbillon watches have escapement and balance wheels mounted on rotating cages to counter the effects of gravity. Louis Moinet decided to flaunt the brilliant tourbillon movement of this watch by integrating an open work dial architecture in the design. All in all this Swiss company didn’t leave any stones unturned while manufacturing the”Meteoris”, which made this watch worth every penny of it’s price.

It took Patek Philippe a total of 8 years to assemble and manufacture this historical masterpiece. Known as the most complicated watch in the world, it featured more than 24 functions and was manufactured in 1933 for Henry Graves (Banker). What makes this watch so expensive is its 18 carat gold case as well as its intriguing history. Ever since it’s manufacture in 1933, this watch kept getting passed on from Henry Graves to his successors, to museums until 2014 when it was put to auction. It was bought for $24 millions by an anonymous entity.
